THINGS TO DO

Visit the iconic Liberty Bell: A historic symbol of American freedom!

Philadelphia Museum of Art: This famed art museum with classic pieces is a must stop when in Philadelphia. The building itself is stunning and historical and spending a few hours exploring is well worth it.

Independence National Historical Park/Hall: This is a great stop for all the history buffs. Go back in time to the beginning of our countries independence and visit the room where some of the greatest decisions in US history were made. You’ll be sure to experience epic National Treasure vibes.

Philadelphia City Hall: This massive, ornate government building is a gem in Philadelphia. The gorgeous exterior will be beggging you to take photos from every angle.

Reading Terminal Market: With just as much “to do” as a “to eat”, this vast market has something for everyone. We may or may not have gone back multiple times on our last visit.

PLACES TO EAT

Bluestone Lane: Australian coffee shop with delicious sandwiches and unbeatable coffee. Great for a quick stop or to grab something on the go. Delicious chai lattes and gluten free baked goods.

Georgios on Pine: Traditional Italian restaurant with authentic dishes and large portions. BYOB! Don’t miss out on their Bolognese or crème brulee.

Reading Terminal Market: A MUST SEE in Philadelphia! This market contains over 60 different restaurants and food vendors, and there is something for everyone. Try DiNic’s for their famous roast pork sandwich, or Fox & Hound for a gourmet corn dog and fried cheese curds (100% gluten free!).

Vedge: In an old Philadelphian town home, this completely vegan spot will be well-loved by anyone. Delicious cocktails, great plates for sharing, and a welcoming ambiance define this restaurant. The eggplant dish was wonderful, and we highly recommend any of the sorbets or ice creams to round out your meal.

Barbuzzo: Chic Mediterranean restaurant in the middle of Center City. With fresh ingredients and a large variety of options, this is the perfect date-night spot. The swordfish and espresso tiramisu were our favorites!

Goose Island Brewery: One of the hippest breweries in Fish Town, Goose Island is not to be missed. It offers excellent beers, tasty bar bites, and a large outdoor beer garden to enjoy with friends and your favorite pets.

Garage brewery place: Another popular brewery in Fish Town, this spot has a great outdoor area with fire pits and lots of seating. Be sure to include this on your personalized Philadelphia brewery tour.

Charlie Was A Sinner: Hip, all-vegan restaurant in Center City with designer cocktails and an old-timey feel. Dishes are served tapas-style and are meant to be shared. We recommend “our ricotta”, spicy fried tofu, and the caramelized eggplant bao buns.

PS & Co: Absolute must for the gluten-free traveler or health food fanatic! Offering cold-press juices, smoothies, savory and sweet breakfast options, and a large selection of baked goods, you’re sure to find something to satisfy any craving.

Jim’s Steaks: Traditional spot for a classic Philly cheese steak right next to Society Hill. Don’t be afraid of the cheese whiz and expect a 15-20 minute line.

TRANSPORTATION

Philly is a beautiful and compact city, we found walking the city to be very manageable and lovely.

Uber and Lyft are very cheap and accessible throughout the city.

There is a subway that connects much of downtown as well as a tram.
