THINGS TO DO
Spend the day relaxing (with a bottle of rosé) at a beach club. Cabana, Madero, Mood, & St. Tropez (no beach access but has a great pool on the ocean) are great options. Chairs start at $5-$10.
If you’re looking for something more natural, Playa Kenepe Grandi, Playa Porto Marie, Cas Abou and Playa Grandi are beautiful beaches. It is common to see turtles at Playa Grandi.
Go snorkeling or diving with a local shop. Curacao is known for having some of the best diving in the Caribbean.
Be a tourist on the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge. Be sure to stay long enough to see how boats go through- it’s not what you would expect. Here is where you can see the famous row of colorful buildings as well.
Take an ATV tour to get a better look at the island’s gems.
PLACES TO EAT
Caña: Great tapas style food in an intimate setting.
Kome: Upscale restaurant with nice cocktails and top notch food.
Mood Beach: Small but delicious menu that’s ideal for lunch. Beautiful setting on the water.
Fishalicious: Exactly like it sounds. Great seafood restaurant.
PLACES TO DRINK
Caña: Also mentioned above but the cocktails are amazing.
Chill: Casual beach bar.
Cabana: Trendy beach club by the ocean.
St. Tropez: Another trendy beach club with incredible ocean views.
Wet n Wild: More casual beach club that can get a little rowdy.
PLACES TO STAY
Scuba Lodge: Boutique hotel that offers in house scuba diving. The building is adorable and it’s near many of the restaurants.
LionsDive: Hotel on the beach near most of the beach clubs and steps away from the dive shop.
Avila Beach Hotel: Small resort also near most of the great restaurants. Has its own private lagoon.
Marriott Beach Resort: Newly renovated hotel. Not walkable to the bars or restaurants but the property is huge and beautiful. Perfect for relaxing by the pool or beach.
TRANSPORTATION
We recommend renting a car as the island is spread out and taxis are not always around.
